Use inter-library loan (ILL) to obtain materials ISU does not own. ILL is a free service for faculty, students and staff and can be used to request books, articles, or other materials for academic work. If you need to use ILL, PLAN AHEAD. It takes time to locate and obtain the materials from other libraries.
The Writing Center is available to offer assistance with math and writing problems. You may drop in for assistance, although appointments are recommended. Arrange a consultation appointment with a tutor by phone, e-mail, or in person. A tutor will review your writing sample or math questions and discuss your particular needs during a scheduled appointment. Please contact the tutors at least five days before the paper is due to allow tutors time to prepare. The Writing Center also provides assistance to Distance Learning students; information about distance consultations is available on the Writing Center website.
