The following is from the ISU OIT website

Print from your laptop

  1. Begin printing your document or file from your laptop as normal.
  2. In the dialog box that opens, select either the "Student_BW" ($0.03/page) or "Student_Color" ($0.15/page) print queue in the Printer Name drop-down box.
    • The cost will be deducted from your print account after printing the job.
  3. Enter your University username in the pop-up dialog. (Ex: asmith22, ylin14).
    • The document or file you printed will now be in the print queue and available for printing.
  4. Visit one of the Print Release Stations and swipe your University ID in the reader located on the right side of the printer or enter your University Username and password on the printer touchscreen.
    • A list of documents or files you have sent to the print queue (steps 2 and 3) will appear.
  5. Select the job(s) that you want to print
    1. verify the cost information located in the bottom left corner
    2. click the "Print" button. (Jobs held in the queue will be deleted automatically after 24 hours. There is no charge for any job that is not printed.)
  6. Wait for the files to print, and remove them from the output tray.

Print from a Phone or Mobile Device

Students can now print from a smartphone, iPad, or tablet to one of twelve (12) conveniently located printers around campus. To use the new service, follow the instructions below:

  1. From a mobile device, send an email with the document attached to printbw@indstate.edu for black-and-white printing or printcolor@indstate.edu for color printing. Hint: To print just the attachment, remove any text from the body of the email. This would include signatures and device signatures (Sent from an Android Device, Sent from my iPhone, etc.). Any items in the email's body will appear as an additional print job.
  2. After about two minutes, depending on the size or number of documents, you will receive a reply email from ISU-MobilePrint showing a list of the documents ready for release.
  3. Visit any of the twelve (12) printers and swipe your ID card or log in using your University Username and password.
  4. The terminal will show your list of print jobs that you can print.
