Loans will be mailed to you.
Please add your current mailing address in the notes of each loan request.
Emails are sent when the item is mailed.
Allow 5-10 business days to receive items.
Please send back any items insured.
You are responsible for any return postage, insurance, and lost items for anything mailed back.
Checkout periods of ISU material:
Undergraduate students may check out most items for 21 days.
Graduate students may check out most items for 120 days.
Items eligible for renewal may be renewed a maximum of three times. Renewals may be requested online in ILLiad.
Distance learners are responsible for any return postage and insurance for books and other loans.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a free library service providing support materials for your classes as well as your personal reading, watching, and listening pleasure.
ILL introduces Document Delivery!
Request an article or book chapter that is available in print at the ISU Library and ILL will pull it, scan it, and send it to your email.
How To Get Started With ILLiad:
Go to the ISU Library home page https://library.indianastate.edu/ . Click on Services, then Interlibrary Loan.
Enter your University username and password. If you have not used ILL before fill in your personal information on the form.
The ILLiad main menu has all your ILL request information.
Click on “New Requests” to start.
If you access a citation for a loan or article/chapter through ISU Library’s catalog or a database such as EBSCOHost or WorldCat, then click on the ILL link in the database to automatically fill out the form.
Document delivery services will deliver items owned by ISU Library to the distance learning student via mail or e-mail. Undergraduate students may check out most items for 21 days.
