Indiana Information

Indiana Cities & Towns Resources

At this level of research the amount of information 1) online and 2) easily findable begins to thin out. In some cases, you may be able to locate an agency's information online, but to get more information you may have to identify someone in the agency to call or email.

Terre Haute & Vigo County Resources

The closer you get to 'here', the harder it is to find information of any kind, and statistics especially. Locally, one of the best ways to find out about the homeless situation, for example, is to contact the Lighthouse Mission, because it is the largest site we have. In other cases, you have to spend some quality time looking through the results of simple searches in the Terre Haute Tribune-Star's online archive.

You may have to identify a city/county agency/department and call them. See links elsewhere on this site.

You may find some information by contacting local representatives, such as the City Council, County County, State legislators. In some cases, contacting utility companies may provide information, as electric and gas companies have special payment plans and other accommodations for the poor/needy.
