Chemical Information for Chemists

Learning the common resources of chemical information and how to use them effectively can take time. Many require some specialized knowledge of the chemistry within the resources in order to recognize when you have found something useful and what is its significance. Students should be patient with themselves and ask for help when needed. You won't know everything right away.

This subject guide provides quick links and brief tips, descriptions, and explanations. But detailed information is available in the books and Wiki below. Things will have been updated since the publication dates of the sources but they still contain a useful foundation of knowledge about sources. After all, the updated databases and sources are built upon the "legacy systems" that came before.
