When you research, you may need a book, video, or article the ISU library does not own.

Interlibrary Loan will look for the item you need at another library, and request the item from that library.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service the library provides free to students, faculty, and staff at ISU.

The link below provides the form to request an item.  There is no charge to you to request an item

Note---The ISU library cannot request textbooks from other libraries.

If you have questions about using ILL, contact the Circulation Desk or call 812-237-2566.

Library Vocabulary

Libraries have a specific vocabulary and it can be confusing if you do not know the words used to describe library materials or locations within the library. The links below provide definitions for library words.  If you have questions about a definition, you can telephone, chat, email, or ask at the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the library.

We are here to help you, ask us if you have a question.
