BIO 114M: Questions

Paraphrasing

by Shelley Arvin on 2016-04-21T17:15:17-04:00 | 0 Comments

I have received a few questions about paraphrasing. I think learning how to paraphrase appropriately is challenging for many students. They know they shouldn't just copy a source exactly. But they like the way that the original states the idea. So how much to change without plagiarizing is a difficult decision.

Below are a few webpages from the University of Wisconsin Madison that I think explain paraphrasing fairly well. Please tell me what you think.

Here is a longer essay about plagiarism and paraphrasing from Central Michigan University.
