Our online reference books come from a variety of publishers, so the interfaces may differ. Some are Ebscohost or Academic Search Complete e-books, some are part of e-Reference collections such as the Gale Virtual Reference Library, and some are stand-alone. All have search, save, email features. Some have export citation capabilities and other special features.
The ISU Library Women's Studies print holdings are available to distance learners via Interlibrary Loan. In addition, here are some of our online full-text publications. Most of these use the Ebscohost E-books [formerly Netlibrary] interface; only one of you can have the book 'open' at a time. When finished, please shortcut the next person's wait time by 'closing' the book [don't just close your browser] - see 'Close Item' command when you have book 'open' in upper Left hand corner of screen.
Note: Ebscohost e-books feature: Notes: create your own account and then you can take notes on your readings in this file and return to it in the future.
Ebscohost e-book's interface features a built-in Dictionary so you can look up words while reading - you can even have them pronounced! Just double-click to highlight the word and then choose 'Dictionary'.
FIND MORE E-BOOKS. You will also find Netlibrary books listed in the Library's online catalog - Fusion or Fusionplus - each record will have an electronic link to the text.
NOT INCLUDED HERE: Electronic Resources>>Books also includes Project Gutenberg titles. These would be books now in the public domain, i.e., out of copyright, usually 75 years previous to current date. Many 'classic' works can be found here.
